On the Road Again

In January, my wife and I were fortunate to visit Egypt, the land of the pharaohs. It was a wonderful trip because I had the opportunity to see in person the places and the monuments about which I have been teaching for more than three decades. Sometime soon I am planning to write a few posts about my visit to Egypt and share with you some of the many pictures I took and talk about the many places I visited while in Egypt.

But, I am on the road again. Today my wife and I are beginning our trip to Southeast Asia. We will be visiting Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. One reason for our visit is to escape the frigid weather in Chicago. We will also be visiting one of our sons who lives in the Philippines.

While I am away, I am planning to republish several old posts which most new readers of my blog have never read. Since I began posting thirteen years ago, I have published almost 3,000 posts.

In the coming days I will select some of the most popular posts published a decade ago and republish them. If you have read these old posts, I hope you will learn something new from them. If this is your first time reading these old posts, I also hope you will learn something from them.

Enjoy reading these old posts.
