>“Sex in the City of God”: This was the title of a series of Old Testament sermons preached at Liberty University.
The title of the series is related to love stories in the Old Testament.
I am glad they are talking about sex at Liberty University, however, the title of the series is designed to titillate students to attend the lectures.

>what is the point of this post? The name of the series isnt designed to ‘titillate’ the students. I am one of those students, and for the 6,000 + of us that cram into TRBC every wedsnday night, i can assure that none of us are there because the series this semester has a ‘titillating’ name. Also, your information is incorrect. This was not the title of a series preached at Liberty University. Its the title of a series being preached at Campus church, which is hosted by Liberty University but has students from several surrounding colleges. We technically meet off campus, and thus, you can not attack Liberty for having this series.I still just dont even see the point in this post, all you do is basicall say Liberty is a horrible school because they are using the word sex to encourage kids to go to church. Is that it? Just wondering.

>Dear Friend,Thank you for visiting my blog. First of all, let me say that I do not think Liberty University is “a horrible school.” In fact, I believe that school is doing a great job for the Lord. The intent of my post was to say that using the word “sex” was out of context for the love stories of the Old Testament. When you read the love stories of the Old Testament, the emphasis is never on sex. Why not just announce the series as “The Great Love Stories of the Old Testament”? Think for a moment what non-believers will say when they read: “Sex in the City of God?” The title alone conveys a wrong idea. As people say: “Sex sells.” Claude Mariottini
