I have been Professor of Old Testament at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary since 1988. Prior to my time at Northern, I served at Southwest Baptist Seminary. Born in Brazil, I came to the US in 1963. I have a passion for the Word of God and walking alongside others as we seek to more fully understand it. I graduated from California Baptist College, Golden Gate Baptist Seminary, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Additional graduate work was completed at the Graduate Theological Union.
