>I thought this was a great opening for an article on the NCAA tournament:

It’s obvious now; the basketball gods are angry. And they’ve been showing it Old Testament style on our NCAA tournament.

The gods are taking a stand, now that men’s college basketball has lost its way. It’s the only reasonable explanation for how we were all lucky enough to receive an NCAA tournament this good, in an age of rampant NBA Draft early entry and impending bracket bloating.

If the gods are taking a stand, then a lot of prayers went unanswered, if the gods ever answered prayers on behalf of a basketball team, or any other team.
