>The Goddess Vesta

Photo: The lid containing 4,000 year old writing

Macedonia archeologists have discovered an artifact that contains 4,000 year old writing. The writing is the oldest example of the old Macedonian language.

The 4,000 year old signs written on the lid of the clay artifact reveal the name of the Goddess Vesta.

  2. >Dear Friend,Macedonia has an ancient history. Modern Greece traces its history to the people who lived in ancient Greece. From your comment, I guess you are a Macedonian and the tenor of your words indicate that there are controversies between Greeks and Macedonians.Thank you for visiting my blog.Claude Mariottini

    >and the modern macedonia and macedonian people traces its history with the ancient macedonians that lived in ancient macedonia.the first kingdom in europe. which were diffrent people of the ancient greeks.greece has a problem with macedonia and the people and the macedonian language.veneti people and language oldest on the balkan and europe.inscreptions found on that vase lid are of venetic origins.just look at today how and why so many millionS of people speak the slavic language.SLAVIC LANGUAGE WAS THE ANCIENT MACEDONIAN LANGUAGE.but as said before if somebody from west stydies and learns the slavic languages and its origins, and compare historical data from acient times such as the lid from 4000years ago or the roseta stone, and other ancient macedonian writtings that have been found on stone writtings. we macedonians dont have any problem with greece, they have with macedonia,as they stand to lose a lot of HISTORY. the word history is macedonian word which means happen( i stori) still used today in the macedonian language.cosmos is macedonian word made up of two words cos(means bent)and mos(means breage)these two words are still in use in the macedonian languge every day .

    >Dear Professor, if I were you, I would seriously check the sources of what you put up in your website, to safeguard your good name. First of all, there was never such a thing as a Macedonian language. the Macedonians spoke the Northwest dialect of Greek. Secondly, to claim that at 4000 BC there was a decipherable language of any kind, in that part of the world is unheard off…check your sources! Thirdly, The letters you see there are Greek (I can see a theta and a beta clearly enough) but Greeks took their alphabet from the Phoenicians not much earlier than the 9th c. BC. Therefore, it is either Greek, of the first millenium BC, or some signs that happen to appear Greek. For these archeologists to joyfully claim that they have discovered a 4000 BC artifact, coming from the pseudomakedonist regime that they are paid from, I would be VERY suspicious, unless this is studied by credible western scientists.Fourthly, for someone to claim that there was indeed a decipherable Macedonian script of the 4th millenium BC, and indeed a Slavic one, when the Slavs are known to have arrived in Macedonia no later than 4500 years after this date from the Pripet Marches of northern Ukraine and Belorussian is unhistorical, and embarrassing to an archeologist to have it mentioned in his website, so you should probably correct the gentlemen who wrote these pseudo-historic comments about Slavs in Macedonia at that time. Slavs came into Macedonia NOT EARLIER than the 6th to 7th c AD! Since you are a biblical archeologist, please read Paul in Macedonia, where “οὗτοι δὲ ἦσαν εὐγενέστεροι τῶν ἐν Θεσσαλονίκῃ, οἵτινες ἐδέξαντο τὸν λόγον μετὰ πάσης προθυμίας, τὸ καθ’ ἡμέραν ἀνακρίνοντες τὰς γραφὰς εἰ ἔχοι ταῦτα οὕτω.These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.πολλοὶ μὲν οὖν ἐξ αὐτῶν ἐπίστευσαν, καὶ τῶν Ἑλληνίδων γυναικῶν τῶν εὐσχημόνων καὶ ἀνδρῶν οὐκ ὀλίγοι.Therefore many of them believed; also of honorable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.”.The acts specifically mention the Jews and the Greek speaking Macedonians. The Slavs came 600 yeasr after this, and they had to wait until the two Byzantine Greek Monks Constantinos/Cyrillos and Methodios teach them how to write in a new alphabet, based on the Greek, which they invented to educate them in their Slavic language. Finally, Vesta is a Roman Godess, and her equivalent in Greek religion (and Yes, the Macedonians had the same Gods as all other Greeks, tell these men to read their history and to visit the Museums in Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Pella, Aegai, Kavala, etc, even their own museum in Monaster/Bitola and Skopje and see what statues are being exhibited!), so Vesta’s equivalent was Hestia. But Hestia (and Roman Vesta) could not have been there at the time, since they are Indo-European deities that came into Italy (Vesta) with the Latins and into Greece (including Macedonia) with the Greeks, and this happened not earlier than 2000 BC. So if it is not Vesta/Hestia, if it is not Slavic, if it is not Macedonian (the Macedonians came into Macedonia in the 8th century BC, tell these guys to read their Herodotus!), then it is either an old speciment unrelated to the later cultures, or the archeologists in that case are being unscientific and have no clue about dating! Finally:”Modern Slavs, both Bulgarians and Macedonians, cannot establish a link with antiquity, as the Slavs entered the Balkans centuries after the demise of the ancient Macedonian kingdom. Only the most radical Slavic factions—mostly émigrés in the United States, Canada, and Australia—even attempt to establish a connection to antiquity… Eugene Borza, “Macedonia Redux”, University of California Press, 1999As for the Hellenism of ancient Macedoniasn, I will only mention two things: If they were not Greek, they would not have been admitted to the Panhellenic religious festivals at Olympia and Delphoi, simple as that. This was a Greeks only sort of club by invitation. Secondly: the language which the Macedonians propagted was Greek. The language which the romans propagated was Latin, the arabs Arabic, the British English, the Spaniards Spanish, it is a slam dung issue, every empire promotes their official language, period! The bible was either translated (the 70) or written (new testament) in the coene Greek which Alexander and his Macedonians promoted. End of story. I love the Slavs, but i woudl urge them they to be proud of Yuri Gagarin, Lev Toslstoy and Dostoyevski, not Aristotle and Alexander. respectfully, eismakedon, Chicago
