On Tuesday, May 9, 2006, the Jerusalem Post reported that two Israeli archaeologists have found a prehistoric site in Israel. According to the report, the archaeologists discovered stone utensils on the southeastern section of Jerusalem.

According to Israel’s Antiquities Authority, the archaeologists dated the stone utensils to the Middle Paleolithic Period, that is, between 50,000-200,000 years ago.
